A signed document issued by an Insurer certifying the validity of an insurance agreement. The Insurance Policy contains information about insurance cover (Policyholder, Insured, Sum Insured, Insurance Premium, etc.).
Insurance cover enters in force from 24:00 of the day of payment of the insurance premium.
Amount payable by a Policyholder as a cost of insurance cover. Amount of premium and terms of payment are stipulated in the Insurance Policy.
Before payment of the first or single installment of insurance premium, the Insurer is free not to reimburse the loss.
If you decide to cancel your insurance cover, immediately inform the Insurer in writing.
Do not stop paying premium without warning your insurance company.
If You fail to pay premium within the fixed terms, the Insurer will be entitled to terminate the insurance agreement based on the preliminary notice.In case of the Insured Event it is important to act in accordance with the terms and conditions stipulated in the insurance agreement. For example, the insurance agreement may provide for a specific form / timeframe for notification of losses, the failure to observe which will entitle the Insurer to reject your claim for reimbursement.
Amount payable by the Insurer to the Policyholder/Insured/Beneficiary to reimburse the loss caused by the Insured Event.
Amount not reimbursable by the Insurer.
- Unconditional deductible – amount to be deducted from the amount of reimbursement each and every Insured Event. No reimbursement shall be paid if the amount of loss does not exceed the deductible;
- Conditional deductible – amount within which no loss shall be reimbursed; however, if the amount of loss exceeds the deductible, the Insurer will reimburse the loss in full.
If you disagree with the response to your complaint, or you have not received any response within 30 days, or you believe that your rights are violated, you are entitled to apply to the Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia.
