The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) Committees and Annual Conference Week in Tirana
From 11 to 15 November 2025, in Tirana, the capital of the Republic of Albania, the International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) held a week of committee meetings and Annual Conference. The event represents one of the IAIS’s largest gatherings, where global insurance supervision trends and critical issues for sectoral development are discussed.
IAIS Committees and Annual Conference Week is being attended by David Onoprishvili – Chairman of the ISSSG, Maia Kublashvili - Deputy Chairperson of the ISSSG and Natia Kvachakhia - Head of the International Relations Division.
The main part and concluding stage of the week was the IAIS Annual Conference, held on 14–15 November. The conference included high-level plenary sessions and the IAIS Annual General Meeting, during which the key governance, strategic and financial issues of the Association were discussed, including the budget, the 2024 reports and the election of the new Executive Committee members.
Georgia’s active participation in the IAIS week once again demonstrated the country’s commitment to implementing international standards, strengthening its supervisory framework and advancing integration into the global insurance supervisory community.
