David Onoprishvili Participates in the 2025 Annual General Meeting and Annual Conference of the International Association of Insurance Supervisors

The International Association of Insurance Supervisors (IAIS) Committees and Annual Conference Week is taking place in Tirana, the capital of the Republic of Albania, from 11 to 15 November 2025. The event included meetings and working sessions of the core and senior governing bodies of the Association - the Executive Committee (ExCo) and the Implementation and Assessment Committee (IAC), where the Chairman of Insurance State Supervision Service of Georgia (ISSSG) represents the countries of the Central, Eastern Europe and Transcaucasia (CEET) region. IAIS Committees and Annual Conference Week is being also attended by Maia Kublashvili, Deputy Chairperson of the ISSSG and Natia Kvachakhia, Head of the International Relations Division. The week will traditionally end with the IAIS Annual Conference, which will be held on November 14-15.

The meetings of the IAIS senior committees focused on implementing the organization's strategic objectives, strengthening cooperation and promoting consistent approaches to global insurance supervision.

The meetings held in Tirana represent one of the key stages of the IAIS annual work cycle, during which members discussed global trends in insurance supervision, as well as the challenges and priorities facing the sector. The discussions reaffirmed Georgia’s active involvement in the international insurance community and contributed to strengthening the CEET region’s position in IAIS decision-making processes.

The ISSSG continues to work proactively to strengthen the insurance system. Cooperation with international partners plays a vital role in this process, enabling the exchange of best practices and the development of knowledge and resources. This, in turn, enhances the ISSSG’s influence, promotes transparency and supports sustainable development in line with global standards, which is an essential foundation for the growth of the local insurance market.
